My family and I arrived at The Leadership Center (TLC), a ministry of Leadership Mission International (LMI), over 1 year ago. During the last year at an educational institution in San Pedro Sula, we began to seek and pray for a place where we could invest our lives. We shared our desires with our close friends and waited. A friend connected us with Joseph Rahm, the Executive Director of TLC and we spoke on a phone about TLC’s mission; what they were doing and why they were doing it. I knew immediately that it was the place I wanted for our lives. Together, with my wife, we searched the LMI website to find out a little more. I remember that every moment we looked into each other’s eyes and said, “here it is!”. We thought, this is what we want to do in the next few years of our lives!
From this point on, we followed the hiring process. I especially remember lunch at Pizza Hut in San Pedro Sula where I met Joseph and Hannah in person. I could feel their passion for the mission of LMI and the desire to be part of LMI grew stronger. We prayed; God this be your Will! What followed was interviews with the board of directors and then the final step, a campus visit. We were welcomed to TLC on October 03, 2019.
I must say very sincerely, that for me and my little family, this is not just a job. Actually, it is a life project. What we do at LMI is about an expression of my faith, it is about following in the footsteps of Jesus, by loving and serving others, especially those who have no voice, as is often the case with women in Honduras.
