Cirse Cruz graduated from TLC in 2018 as a loved member of Cohort 6. Cirse started her professional career with an internship at Casa de Luz where she learned much about educational administration and received caring spiritual support. After this, Cirse was hired as a research assistant by RRA (Red of Rehabilitation Workers of America), working with them for two and a half years.
When Covid 19 struck, Cirse and a few of her hard-working assistants began a large-scale relief and feeding ministry in the Cortez region of Honduras. Food packages were delivered to more than 500 families. Cirse’s relief work was supported by LMI and RRA throughout the pandemic.
Eventually Cirse needed to find a way to support herself, and her access to and experience with food shopping lent itself to shopping for others as a business service. With a loan from a friend, she purchased her own taxi and her business was launched. Cirse and her husband Oscar now own three taxis and work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. Additionally, Cirse teaches English twice a week and volunteers at her church.
Cirse attributes all of her success to blessings from God, a supportive husband, and knowledge gained at TLC. Congratulations, Cirse, we are excited to see all the wonderful things the future holds for you.
