Nate Foster

Nathan was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he currently lives. During Nathan’s sophomore year of college, he studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica which ignited his passion for the Spanish language and Latin culture. This inspired him to study Spanish with a concentration in Applied Language as an undergraduate and to earn a master’s degree in Spanish Language, Literature & Culture. He has worked as an English instructor at a language center in Peru and as a university career coach and student mentor. Teaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to students and youth, in general, gives him a sense of purpose and fulfillment. For Nathan, teaching is not simply about giving instruction but also connecting, inspiring, and motivating students while doing so. Nathan is looking forward to using his experience in mentorship, academia, and bilingual environments to make a positive impact in the LMI community.
