Mahsa Dornajafi is the VP of Finance & Operations at Zephyr AI, where she is responsible for building the company’s Strategy, Finance, & Operations functions. Ms. Dornajafi has held multiple leadership positions in the areas of finance and operations, where she was responsible for building various companies’ infrastructure for growth. Prior to Zephyr, Mahsa was the VP of Finance & Operations at IonQ Inc. (NYSE:IONQ) where she was part of the executive team that took the company public. At IonQ, Ms. Dornajafii was responsible for building the companies’ financial architecture; developing and leading people operations, including hiring and talent acquisition; acquiring, building out, and managing highly advanced R&D facilities; and handling contracts and procurement. During her tenure at IonQ, she was distinguished as a Technology CFO Rising Star Honoree of 2020 by the Northern Virginia Technology Council. Prior to IonQ, while in grad school, Ms. Dornajafi co-founded FlexEl, a thin film battery design company. She rose from her initial engineering position at FlexEI to be the President of the company and co-authored two patents and numerous publications on thin-film battery and transistor design during her tenure. Ms. Dornajafi holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and has an MBA from Virginia Tech where she received multiple scholarships and honors.
